Safety Information

When applying powder always apply it in a well ventilated area away from heat sparks and open flame. Always use a respirator rated for dust while applying powder. Always store powders in cool (less than 80 degrees Fahrenheit) dry (60 percent or less humidity) well ventilated area away from heat sparks and open flame.

Application Tips

CLEAN - Thoroughly strip and clean your metal part before coating. We recommend Eastwood Pre Painting Prep.

COAT - Apply using Eastwood DIY HotCoat Gun 11671A or the Eastwood Dual Voltage HotCoat Gun 11676.

CURE - Cure the part in an electric oven for recommended time. NEVER use an oven that is used for food.

Bonds to the lead surface and never a problen with rhe pressure of resizing ....

Rated 3 out of 5 by exntid from Powdercoat Ford Dark Blue Color is considered incorrect It is not a precise color for Ford Dark Blue for Years 1969 onwards. The base shaker has the hotcoat powder coat from Eastwood (left corner) but the air cleaner lid color is considered correct. It shows a more darker (or purplish) color. The Hotcoat Ford dark blue is not considered correct for concours judging etc.

Did a test sample on some scrap steel, I find that it is too pure of a blue like a royal blue or something. The Ford engine paints vary a little but most of them have a grayish more navy muted look to them. This is closer to kobalt blue than Ford engine paint blue.
