Eastwood Powders are far superior to liquid coatings. They provide an extremely durable finish that is chip resistant. All Powders are formulated of the highest quality materials and are chemical and fuel resistant. Eastwood Powders are durable enough for under hood applications and heat resistant up to 250 degrees F. They are suitable for any metal surface and most cure at a temperature of 400 degrees F at 20 minutes after flow out. With Eastwood powders, you can be assured of high transfer efficiency and brilliant colors.

Metallic Red Powder HotCoat Single Stage Starlight Powder - This one step powder produces a deep, exciting Medium Red high gloss finish with special fine metallic sparkle flakes. Polyester formulation. Cure at 350-400ºF for 20 minutes after flow-out occurs.

Safety Information

When applying powder always apply it in a well ventilated area away from heat sparks and open flame. Always use a respirator rated for dust while applying powder. Always store powders in cool (less than 80 degrees Fahrenheit) dry (60 percent or less humidity) well ventilated area away from heat sparks and open flame.

Application Tips

CLEAN - Thoroughly strip and clean your metal part before coating. We recommend Eastwood Pre Painting Prep.

COAT - Apply using Eastwood DIY HotCoat Gun 11671A or the Eastwood Dual Voltage HotCoat Gun 11676.

CURE - Cure the part in an electric oven for recommended time. NEVER use an oven that is used for food.

Questions & Answers

Can I use one of your chrome powders as a base coat and then us the metallic red powder coat over the top of the chrome?

If you want to but with the powders labelled as metallic- it will not appear any different. The metallic powders are not translucent so you wouldn't really be gaining any added effect doing so. You would be better off using chrome, adding one of the translucent powders over and mixing some metallic flake into the translucent powder.

is this powder fine for brake calipers?

If the temperature exceeds 250F NO Brakes get hotter than 250 Eastwood Powders are durable enough for under hood applications and heat resistant up to 250 degrees F.
