Magnetic Backing Tool makes it easy to weld-shut a hole in the middle of a panel.

Weld material won't stick to copper head
For holes up to 1" in diameter
Perfect for use with your MIG, TIG or stick welder

With this versatile tool, you'll leave your 2 hands free for welding while the copper head backs-up that hole. Strong magnetic mount secures the adjustable 1-1/4"- diameter copper swivel back-up head up against the hole to be repaired.

Not to be used with gas welding.

I think it is the perfect idea for those who cannot weld well with one hand.. that would be me but I will continue to work on my one handed technique anyway.. this tool is a must have item for any welders set up.. made well, made right though I'd recommend never allowing it to get hot.. warm is ok but hot will kill any magnet and that is a fact.. it this little guy loses it's holding power it is because you allowed it to get too hot and that will be your own fault and not the tool.. buy two or three of these and let one kool down while you grab the next to keep going.. do some research on heat vs. magnetism.. you'll find that I am giving good advice here.. the tool is perfect in every way!!

I restore old Broncos and they all have lots of holes in tight spots. This tool allows me to get in places I used to have to make special backing out of copper for.
