About Plastex Rigid Plastic Repair Kits
The Plastex Plastic Repair Kit makes strong, permanent repairs to almost any hard plastic (and many other materials). It's easy, safe, and cures in minutes! Mix the powder and solvent to repair cracks, fill gaps, 'weld' panels or fix stripped threads. The kit includes a reusable 'molding bar' so you can replicate and attach broken tabs, patch holes-even make small parts. Plastex can be used on ABS, poly-carbonate, acrylic, styrol, PVC, FRP (polyester),glass metal & wood (it won't adhere to polypropylene or polyethylene). Available in Black (for structural repairs), white and clear. Repairs may be topcoated with SEM vinyl dyes.
Plastex can be used by sprinkling the powder onto repair or joint mating area and wetting with the Plastex liquid until the powder is saturated. Plastex can also be applied using the needle method. To use this method place a small amount of powder in the included plastic cup, place a small amount of Plastex liquid in the small applicator bottle and affix the needle. Place a drop of Plastex liquid on the powder and transfer to the repair area, repeating as necessary to fill the repair. Use the molding bar with one of the above techniques to fabricate missing sections. Use in a well ventilated area.
Not for use on Polypropylene or Polyethylene. Of the 3 different Plastex kits we sell, black is the strongest, white is the second strongest, Clear is the weakest but works well for lens repair.
