Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product ! Worked as advertised. Take your time and keep things wet, you don’t want to heat the glass. I had windshield wiper marks. This product took care of them with no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cadillac windshield scratches disappesred I was great to be a product that did what write up,said it would do,we bought a 2 year old XT5 and after a few days, I noticed wiper scratches 4 of them from, top side to bottom of windshield, after going over the scratched 4 times they totally disappeared, not a trace,I was so happy that this product did what it said was capable of doing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatly exceeded my expectations For the first time ever I got caught in the rain in my 67 vette. I never used the wipers before this time. To my horror the wipers scratched the glass. I was certain that I would have to replace it. After an online search I skeptically placed my order and it arrived two days later. I just finished polishing it with my cordless drill and wiped it clean. The scratches are gone and the whole windshield looks brand new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! This kit DOES work to remove blemishes in glass but if you are not willing to spend several hours buffing the same spot then you will be disappointed. Glass polishing is not for the impatient person. Follow the directions, keep the surface CLEAN and WET and avoid angling the felt pad on the glass. Keep the speed around 800 rpms to no more than 1000 rpms. I used this to buff light scratches out of tempered glass on a large saltwater aquarium and it took 12 hours to do a 72" x 21" pane.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick. Looks awesome. I have a 67 GM A body car and the rear glass was weathered badly. New glass with shipping was almost $400.00. I decided to give this product a try and was blown away how good it came out. I had removed the glass to have the vinyl installed so that made the job come out really well. Follow the instruction and take your time and you wont be disappointed at all. Thanks Eastwood for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with the results Initially, I was expecting the time to polish glass (which I consider to be quite hard) to take for ever. I bought the product to polish the original side windows on my 1999 Cougar which I'd owned since new in 1998. Over the 18 years each had a distracting haze from lowering and raising. Following the instructions, I started on a 1ft square area and after 12 mins of polishing it was crystal clear. The next similarly sized patch took about 10 mins. I also used the product on the entire windshield since it now looked a little drab and had a wiper blade scratch. (It was replaced about 15 yrs ago.) In half an afternoon it is now crystal clear all over and the scratch that I paid extra attention to is pretty well gone. I used about 2-3 tablespoons of the powder for all 3 windows and probably still have enough left to do the job 3-4 times over. I used a cordless drill, cycling 2 battery packs, with a trigger speed control and a handy water spray bottle to keep the paste wet on both the window and the pad. A minor side tip: lots of little chips on the windshield started to show up after cleaning and polishing with a clean soft cloth. I used a water wet small bristle brush to clean out the white paste from the worst chips and it now looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick ! Bought the kit to address two areas on my 72 corvette windshield where the windshield wipers had worn two areas leaving the windshield looking ragged. Used product, a little learning curve using it , but after I got the hang of it the marks disappeared. !

Questions & Answers

What would be a recommended replacement for the polishing pad that comes with this kit? (I bought this kit a number of years ago and seem to have misplaced mine.)

Asked by: Gary
Unfortunately, we do not offer just this polishing pad separate. All we offer as a separate item are the discs of sandpaper found in the Depp scratch Glass polishing kit. A new kit would be needed at this point. We apologize for the inconvenience.

My windshield has many little bumps and scratches. You replied someone: "this product was designed for automotive glass-tempered glass". I know tempered glass is most commonly used for passengers windows. How do I know if my windshield is also tempered?

Asked by: Jonny
Windshields are not "tempered glass".
