Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paint Shaker Works Awesome Works awesome, we hooked it to a small pallet because we take it to other jobs. The pallet moves a little. But I can put a foot on it and it stops. Sure beats shaking it by hand. A pancake compressor can run it easy because it uses hardly any air.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rockwood paint shaker This is the second one that I have bought, One for my brother which worked wonderful for his part time shop. Now that I have split away on my own I needed one to mix my primers and paints for a more even coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mmmmm, pancakes! This shaker works great. Mixes paint to perfection. Good for pancake batter, too. Make sure you have a very sturdy mounting . This thing really rocks and rolls! Oh, and don't put your man bits in it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I had a gallon of Rust Encapsulator sitting in the cabinet for a couple of years . After 5 minutes in the shaker it poured out nice and smooth. Instead of mounting it to the bench , I mounted it to a piece of 3/8" plate with a small piece of angle iron welded to the bottom and stuck it in the vice . Works awesome .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results at Great price! In the process of assembling the shaker and mounting it I read where you should first hand stir thick material. This was a huge disappointment! I took a can of Slik Sand (spray-able bondo) that usually starts up arthritis pain in my hands when I stir it. This was the whole reason for buying the shaker. The can had sat for over 6 months. I let it run for 5 minutes at 90 psi. It worked great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Machine This Rockwood Paint Shaker works extremely well. It is light weight and well built. A word of caution: Be sure it is securely bolted to a well built bench or solid surface. It is designed to shake like heck, and it really does. Remember, you want it shake the paint, not the bench. The shut-off valve allows you to adjust the amount “shake” so you can fine tune it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my shop I finally purchased a paint can shaker for my Furniture Medic shop. This has been a good investment and over due. I mounted it to a steel workbench and connected the air hose and proceeded to mix all the gallon cans I had in stock. Remember to add pneumatic oil as you use it. It works fine, it is easy to use and will help the products that I have on the shelf stay mixed and ready to use.

Questions & Answers

What is the maximum length (inches or millimetres answer please!) between the jaws ? (My thanks to Scott C for his previous answer but it didn't resolve, I'm in the UK and don't know the dimensions of US paint cans).

Asked by: Marky
The dimensions of 1 gallon paint cans? The standard dimensions of a 1 gallon paint can are 6 ½ inches in diameter x 7 ¾ inches height or 6 5/8 inches in diameter by 7 ½ inches tall.

can it be used for spray cans

Asked by: tony007
This is designed for cans only. If you try spray cans there is a chance of the plastic cap breaking off from the pressure of the clamp and the shaking.

What tank size / HP / PSI compressors are those who use this tool running, to be sure I size my next compressor properly? No compressor spec specifically states scfm@70 psi... thanks

This compressor will work well. Item # 31436. Has a 30 Gallon tanks https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-30-gallon-belt-driven-1-9hp-air-compressor-52514.html

Can a small compressor run this unit without harming the compressor? Mine is a Craftrman 1hp / 3 gallon / max 125 psi.

Asked by: JP27
The paint shaker Requires 70psi @ 4.3cfm. Not sure of the numbers for your compressor. A 3 gallon tank may be a little small, but if your compressor puts out the required CFM's then you should be fine.
