If you have ever tried to weld a patch panel into a spot where you can’t access the back side, these rare earth magnets are a life saver. Do blind patch panel welding with 20/20 vision by getting a set of stitch welding magnets from Eastwood. These N35 nickel-plated rare earth magnets will firmly hold your patch panels in whatever position you place them. By placing the ½-inch magnets every few inches along the seam, you can perfectly align panels with no gap or a small gap depending on your welding technique. Can’t access the backside as you weld? Get the fitment just right first, place a few magnets, then go around to the front side and work with confidence.
These 12.7mm diameter x 19mm length rare earth neodymium nickel plated magnets are design to offer superior panel alignment when welding patch panels. The magnets are heat-resistant up to 200 degrees and support several pounds each for use with MIG, TIG, stick or flux-core welding. You don’t need to try to make clamps work or wait for a friend to come help— a pack of eight magnets is enough for almost any one-person DIY project. Place magnets about two inches apart along the weld seam to hold metal in position. Use our Top 3 Stitch Weld Magnet Tips and Do the Job Right with a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.

Strong with endless possibilities. These magnets are so strong when 2 come near each other they can pinch your finger. I use them for welding, holding a tarp down to a car outside in heavy wind, attach one to any tool and it becomes magnetic. Many many many uses !

Game changer.Theses magnets are a game changer. Holds work in place and easy to use. Hardest part is taking them off the work surface. Very powerful for the size. Using them to hold patch panels in place while I tack weld. Better than clamps.

Stitch Weld MagnetsVery strong magnets, great for holding your pieces in place while you work. Great for contoured body pieces or odd shapes in tight places. They make things a lot easier and better to work with while welding, designing, shaping, etc.

great magnetsThese magnets are amazingly strong. This is the second set I've purchased from Eastwood. The first set had a problem with the plating coming off, so I've tried several other brands and so far nothing comes close.
What is the "pull strength" of these magets?
Asked by: bruce
While I don't have a spec other than them being Neodymium N35 grade magnets, I was able to lift a 5lb steel plate with one and that felt close to the max it would do.

Will these magnets hold a lower door skin in place when using a panel bonding adhesive, is clamping force sufficient?
Asked by: Tornado92
These magnets are very strong, however, we would recommend the use of bling grip holders, also know as cleco's, or a clamp or self-taping screw. The panels need to be held very tightly and solid until the panel adheasive sets up.

I bought a set and I've noticed two things. 1) They seem to screw up the weld so you better not do any more than a tack if you are within a few inches of them. This is mig welding. Is that normal? 2) They chip if snapped together. Normal?
Asked by: 31Dodge
The strong magnetic pull can slightly pull your weld if you're too close. Second with any magnet they can chip on the edges as they snap together.

Hey Guys, Heat is the enemy of these magnets. It destroys the magnetic capability. Are these magnets any different?
Asked by: njmj
These magnets are designed to be considered a consumable and will eventually wear out. They are very strong though and will hold up for quite some time.
