Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow ,very powerful I only work on aluminum...aircraft...doing paper or cupboard patterns I just use metal under the pattern and what ever I am making a pattern of and the magnets on top.Another good use is on a stomp shear ,after you get the flat sheet exactly where you want it in the sheer use the magnets to hold the metal sheet in place so it won't move before the sheer hold down comes down onto the sheet....(I think most car people refer to the sheet as a panel)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! Worked GREAT Best $20 I ever spent. I just got them, and they paid for themselves the first time I used them. They did a PERFECT job of holding the patch panels perfectly flush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great magnets These magnets work great and are small enough to use on small patches. The only thing is they tend to close the gap between the patch and base panel. An easy solution I had was to stick a panel saw blade in as spacers until the first few beads are welded.

How much is the shipping weight for 1 Qty? It looks a weird question, but it's very important to me :)

Asked by: Mohammad
Shipping weight is a third of a pound.

I bought a set and I've noticed two things. 1) They seem to screw up the weld so you better not do any more than a tack if you are within a few inches of them. This is mig welding. Is that normal? 2) They chip if snapped together. Normal?

Asked by: 31Dodge
The strong magnetic pull can slightly pull your weld if you're too close. Second with any magnet they can chip on the edges as they snap together.

Do these magnets come in some sort of protective case?

Asked by: dan0
These are shipped in a cardboard box with dividers between them.

Hey Guys, Heat is the enemy of these magnets.  It destroys the magnetic capability.  Are these magnets any different?

Asked by: njmj
These magnets are designed to be considered a consumable and will eventually wear out. They are very strong though and will hold up for quite some time.
