Eastwood's 2K AeroSpray Epoxy Primer Gray & Black

Product Overview:

Description

Use our 2K AeroSprayâ„¢ Epoxy Primer spray can to get parts and accessories ready for painting in one simple step. Eastwood developed this aerosol spray paint for DIYers who want to do high-quality work without investing in an HVLP gun. It contains the primer and activator in separate chambers. Once you activate it with the red button, the two components mix perfectly as you spray. The nozzle and valve create a fan pattern like that of a paint gun for excellent coverage.

For direct-to-metal applications, our epoxy spray primer will Do the Job Right. Choose from gray primer for body panels or black primer for chassis and frame painting. Both have 10-16 square feet of coverage with a 48-hour pot life once the can is activated. Since the paint can be stored for up to three years before activation, it’s okay to stock up and save. Check out the rest of our 2K paint for a complete aerosol-based paint job in your garage.

Eastwood 2K AeroSpray Epoxy Primer Features:

  • 2-Component Catalyzed Technology
  • Two Chamber Design Aerosol
  • Most Durable Aerosol Epoxy Primer Available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great!! but color ... The overall product worked great, exactly as described. BUT, i ordered the gray because my project car was sprayed using the gallon epoxy primer, which again worked great!! I needed to re-cover a few sanded through spots and didn't want to get my gun out for a few small spots. Well, if you have OCD ..be warned. It is NOT the same gray as the gallon. So much so I had to check the can to make sure i order gray and not white. Yup a very light gray, almost white. So again I'll say .. the product itself worked great!! Just be warned on the color. Would be nice if it was the same color (dark gray) as the gallon .. just sayin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best primer ever I built a windshield frame for my project car and wanted a durable primer coat to ensure rust free longevity. This epoxy coating sprayed on easily and smooth with no runs. It's important to follow the mixing directions as well as the temp and humidity you spray in. It catalyzed quickly once applied. The 12 oz can was enough for 3 coats to the frame, with about 1 oz left in the can. Once activated, whatever is left over in the can will eventually be unusable, so plan accordingly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expensive for what it does For the price I really expected it to not rust through the first week. I at least thought that if you sprayed it over fresh welds it wouldn't rust for 3 weeks. Unfortunately it's one so I think it's a little expensive for one week of coverage

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product Since my first review was rejected by the corrupt staff at Eastwood, (I guess they don’t want the truth getting out) I’ll try this again with fewer words. PRODUCT BAD. NO BUY. WARNING.

The upper, internal area in my cowl still show signs of some rust even after a lot of sanding and several coats of rust converter. I am epoxy priming this area, but have some reservations. Can I spray as is or shoot rust encapsulator prior?

Asked by: Jdavid
Depending on if you want to be absolutely sure the rust is not going to continue to attack the metal. You can use: Rust Encapsulator Platinum, it can be used as a top coat or can be top coated with almost any paint.

I wanted to spray 2 coats on bare metal panel and ran out of 2k Epoxy Primer. Can I spray 2nd coat with more epoxy primer if within a typical 7 day period without sanding or just use a red scuff pad?

Asked by: kevin
The surface will need to be sanded first- since it should be fully cured. A red/maroon scuff pad would do.
