This 8" Combination Bench Grinder And Belt Sander lets you do all these metalworking jobs (and woodworking jobs) using one bench-mounted tool.
Includes an 8" gray aluminum oxide grinding wheel on one side, and 2" x 28" sanding belt (80-grit aluminum oxide) on the other. Sanding belt adjusts between 45 and 90 degrees for the most effective work angle for your task. Includes cast aluminum base with coolant tray, and dust-proof on/off switch. Pre-drilled holes allow workbench mounting. UL-listed motor is 115v AC, 300 watts. 18" overall width.

Machine is greatI kinda love this machine. It doesn’t take up any more room then a standard 8 inch grinder and the belt works great. I replaced the grinding stone with a wire brush. I use that more for cleaning stuff up. I’ve heard people complain that you can only get the belts from Eastwood. I ordered extras and they aren’t that expensive. Problem solved.

Good Value for the MoneyThe grinder isn't difficult to assemble, and it went together well. The belt side is very noisy, so I wear hearing protection when I'm using the grinder. It does a decent job, and I'm satisfied with it.

Great Purchase Great ProductGreat product, plenty of power, love having a sanding belt with a grinding wheel. I have used it several times in the short time I have owned it. Grinding down welds, forming and sanding down brackets I've made for the mustang rebuild I'm doing/
Just open the box and have everything setup but when I try to adjust the belt alignment, the screw keeps coming loose. I can see it backing off, what am I missing?

Do you mean left and right?
Insure the tension is exact. turn it my hand to insure it is running straight.
The yellow know is what your speaking of?
There should not be enough vibration to have it back off.

Is there a manner to slack grind knife bevel where nothing behind belt..Platen slack grinding think it is called? Like a spot belt flowing freely?..Bigger table for knife bevel jig?

Unfortunately this unit will not safely Slack Belt grind as the belt is to short and the platen should not be removed to grind. The larger 2" and 3" wide long reach or long belt machines would be necessary for the type of grinding you reference.

Can I switch the 8 1/2 stone wheel for buffing wheel

Can I run my grinder/sander through a frequency adjuster to slow down the speed? I know sow types of motors will work.

Unfortunately, this would be considered modifying the machine which would void the warranty. We are unable to offer any advice on modifying our units because of this and safety reasons.
