DeVilbiss StartingLine Detail Gravity Gun 802405 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great gun great price i am a custom painter and air brush artist and use this gun for everything from low rider patterns, motocycles murals, bicycles, easy to clean and maintain, well worth the price, great for all levels of painters dont need to pay high prices for high end brand names, your doing the work not the gun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it Using this gun for 6 mos. now with daily use building up acrylic lacquer finish on a small product. This gun is very reliable. I don't clean it until it quits, owing to the frequency of use. I'll often go a month or more before I have to tear down and solvent clean. This is a function of the acrylic I use, the frequency of use and less than very high tolerances that mandate very thorough cleaning with your high end guns. Been there, done that, can't afford to clean guns 5-6 times a day. My finishes are wet sanded and polished, so I can't attest to the quality of a high gloss finish spray. Would I paint a car with this gun? No, but its just fine for general purpose work. Note that "touch up" generally means spot work and blending in so its not really intended for large area surfaces but very good for small stuff. CONS: The fan spray adjustment is too sensitive and often only 1/4 turn results in a huge (and unexpected) change.

You could used the Dekups with this paint gun if you purchase the DPC-64 adapter. Unfortunately we do not offer this adapter currently.

I realize the gun specs call for 8cfm @ 30psi. My compressor puts out 7.2cfm @ 40psi, so I am assuming at 30 psi it would put out a little more cfm. Has anyone used a compressor this size or smaller with this gun? My compressor is 27 gal, not 22 gal.

Asked by: Lloyd Peck
Your compressor is going to be under powered for this paint gun. You may want to consider our Concour Pro Detail as this only requires 3 CFM.

I have a Craftsman 22 Gal compressor 7.2cfm @ 40psi & 5.8cfm @ 90psi. Will this compressor be enough for this gun?

Asked by: Lloyd Peck
This gun requires 8 cfm at 30@psi.

Hi, I purchased this gun from Eastwood a couple months ago and I've used it once. I cleaned it with reducer, put approx 50ml of reducer in the cup and blew it out. I noticed that it now air leaks into the cup and the spray is erratic is this normal? help!

Asked by: chas
when you say "nozzle" what are you referring to? The air cap? The air cap is tight, the cup is tight, and the supply air fitting is tight. When I pull the trigger, air is blown/bubbling into the cup and the spray is erratic.
