Yes, a primer will be required for this paint. This works best over our Self Etching or Epoxy primers.

A 2K product being catalyzed makes a harder and more chemical resistant than a non catalyzed product.

Can this be applied to ridged plastic if a plastic primer has been used?

Yes as long as a plastic primer or adhesion promoter has been applied; you should be perfectly fine to apply this paint.
