Powder Coating Ovens & Supplies

More and more DIYers are turning to powder coating for a great-looking and long-lasting finish on automotive parts. However, you'll need more than just a high-quality HotCoat® powder gun and colorful powders to Do the Job Right. To get the smoothest and most durable finish for your powder coating project, you will need to heat cure parts right after you're done applying powders. A DIY powder coating oven is the best way to do this — and you won't have to tie up the kitchen oven for hours on end.

Powder Coating Heat Cure Solutions

With the right equipment, your parts can properly cure and gel in less than an hour to achieve their full chip and chemical resistance. Eastwood HotCoat heat curing equipment puts everything at your disposal to complete your next job in any shop. Instead of worrying about how to build a powder coating oven, you can purchase one that's ready to plug in and go along with all the accessories you need.

Powder Coating Booths

One of the reasons powder coating is so popular is because it is more environmentally friendly than paint — but that doesn't mean the powder doesn't get everywhere. On top of that, one of the things that makes powder coating so economically friendly is that you can reuse the overspray, but not if it's all over the floor.

For the best powder application and the least mess you need a spray booth. Eastwood has you covered with our 4x4x6 Powder Coating Booth. It's large enough to hold common parts like wheels and shocks while containing the excess powder for easy clean-up afterward.

Powder Coating Ovens

Ovens are the tried-and-true way of generating the heat needed for a good cure. Ditch the kitchen range oven for an Eastwood powder coating oven that will quickly get up to temperature. A small powder coat oven is the right size for resistors, covers, springs and other small- or medium-size items. These ovens fit nicely on a bench top or in a shop corner.

Eastwood 4x4x6 Powder Coating Oven and Booth

We proudly offer both our DIY powder coating oven and its companion powder spray booth in a 4-foot by 4-foot by 6-foot size. (See sidebar for more information about why to get a coating booth). This powder oven and booth combo are perfect for a serious hobbyist or someone looking to start a business. Combine them with the Elite HotCoat PCS-1000 Powder Coating Gun for a great turnkey operation at an amazing price. The booth is designed so external exhaust is NOT needed! The oven quickly heats to 400°F in under 15 minutes. The fan circulates the air for even curing and great results.

Infrared Curing Lamp Systems

For those who don't have the shop space or the budget to get a giant oven, an infrared powder coat lamp is an efficient solution. Powder curing lamps are also great for larger parts that may not fit in our benchtop powder coating ovens. Aim these adjustable lamps right at a part and the infrared light will stimulate the curing process with no heat necessary. We have small curing lamps for housings, larger 6,000-watt lamps for parts such as wheels and dual-lamp powder coating systems for the biggest tasks.

If you're going with the powder coating lamp, you will also need powder curing stands. The InfraRed Light Stand holds the IR element in place with an adjustable height clamp. Use our HotCoat Powder Coating and Paint Rack to hold up to 300 pounds of parts for curing. It's small enough to fit in the oven and booth, too. You can spray, cure and cool car parts without them ever touching the ground.

Infrared Thermometers

When using a powder coating oven, the entire part needs to reach and maintain a 400-degree temperature for a certain amount of time. An IR thermometer is an essential part of your powder coating oven kit. This thermometer allows you to check if the part has achieved this temperature with actually having to touch it. Aim one of our full-size or pocket non-contact thermometers at different sections and get an instant temperature reading. Make sure to immediately close the oven door afterward to minimize heat escape. Infrared thermometers have many other uses around the shop as well to ensure your safety.
