A heavy-duty body cart from Eastwood helps you get the job done right.
If your current project requires restoring an auto body frame, you’ll need a way to prop that frame in order to do the job right. Letting it rest on the floor with uneven pressure points could cause damage, or create a wobble that makes hard work harder than it needs to be.
This heavy-duty car body stand solves that problem. It spans as wide as 57-by-70 inches to handle large vehicle bodies, and includes four 8-inch locking swivel casters for excellent mobility and positioning. The all-steel support structure of this heavy-duty cart handles up to 2,000 pounds.
The pads can be adjusted for an overall height of 19 to 20.5 inches, letting you correct for uneven frames. And the powder coating gives long-lasting protection, ensuring this heavy-duty body cart will last for as many restoration projects as you want to work on.

Exactly what is represented. Very pleased!Using this to move my 2003 Mustang shell around as I work on it. The uprights are very sturdy, as are the casters.

Impressed with the qualityThis thing is well made for the cost. Easy to assemble. You can lock the wheels so that they won't swivel when you are, e.g., loading the body onto a trailer.
It can get the body up high enough for you to blast or do other work on the underside.
You might have to be creative to find a way to attach/fit the cart to your specific car. Notice the car in the picture has a steel tube running lengthwise resting on the cart's pads.

Body CartThe wheels need to be solid rubber instead of the plastic. Rubber tires would let it roll on All survaces.

Good universal cart. Make sure you have a tap & die set handyThis cart arrived much quicker than expected. The crate/packaging was good, although the crate was busting at the seams a little. A few minor raw spots in the paint. Had to tap most of the welded bolts. Ironically, even though a 69 1st gen Camaro is on the product picture, it doesn't fit as well as you'd hope. I asked more than one person why the picture had the square tubing. It is to allow placing the cart farther back inside the wheel wheel. I had to use wood spacers in order to fit the cart in a position that was more balanced (under the frame rail in the back), if you place it on the front subframe mounts, it will be tail heavy/tippy. About a foot more length would have allowed me to put the pads under the subframe mounts and the frame rail in the back and about 6" in height would have removed the need for 2x4s. The knobs are in the way on the top. Not sure what they add to the holes/pins I had to leave them out to clear the floor. The wheel locks work great, they lock the swivel and the wheel. The cart works very well once you get the body situated. It is a nice cart. I would recommend it, just be aware that it isn't plug and play.
I have a 1936 Desoto Airstream custom. Will this dolly support the whole car with body, frame and engine/transmission? The engine/tranmission and rear end will be removed in the near future.

This can support up to 2000 lbs. I'm not sure what your car weighs, but I would guess its more than that with drivetrain installed.

Can you use this to transport a body on a flat bed trailer
Asked by: Scary 1
With proper load securing of the chassis to the body cart and the body cart with chassis to the trailer, I see no reason it could not be transported.

Would this work for 65 impala if so is it safe to tow the body on top of cart
Asked by: Jc805
This unit will work as long as is beneath the weight limit that is listed. However, we do not recommend towing this cart. Just pushing around the shop for storage.

Would you be able to change the frame rails on a 71 Camaro on this cart?
Asked by: Rik bou
Since this body cart needs the vehicle to sit on the pads of the cart as long as the pads are on a sturdy surface that will not bend that is not the frame you should be able to use this cart for that application.

Would this work for a suburban?
Asked by: Dieselburb89
Thanks for reaching out to us. Based on your screenname I assume you are lucky enough to have a 89 diesel suburban. Too cool!! These carts are awesome to have during a frame off restoration and as long as you have everything stripped out of the shell you should be okay on weight but remember the limit here is 2000lbs. Have a great day!
