Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best filler Very sandable and feathers great. Sets up very quickly which is nice unless you need a lot of time to play with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality but sets up a little fast If your shop is a little warm on a summer day, you better keep this stuff in the frig. It sets up faster than I have ever seen. On the bright side, you don't have to wait long to start sanding. It sands easy and feathers great.

Questions & Answers

Can the rage gold filler be used with epoxy resin pans primers? And could it be used as a marine wood filler?

Asked by: John
Yes this can be used with Epoxy resins and primers. We can not guarantee compatibility for Marine use- we are strictly automotive. Sorry for the inconvenience.

How long can you leave the product open to air before you topcoat. Cannot do whole car at once and would like to do parts then 2 k primer. In garage but worried about humility. What best grit paper to use for prep.

Asked by: Larry
The max time you will want the product to be exposed to the air is two days max, you will want to use 120 grit paper for prep.

can several layers of bondo be applied to any given area? How many?

Asked by: manny
You may certainly apply multiple coats to achieve the desired shape. We recommend never allowing body filler to get any thicker than a quarter inch once sanded for primer.

I need to repair the siding on my camper, that is Filon, like a fiberglass sheet. Part of it blew off, a section about 5x5', can this be put over the rotten wood siding that is exposed, blended in with the good siding, sanded and painted??

Asked by: Jaybird
We cannot recommend any fillers over rotten wood as there would be adhesion issues.

Do you have to go down to bare metal or can I sand the OEM paint until rough? I know I read somewhere that Evercoat has a filler product that doesn't require sanding down to bare metal for small dents. That product is what I am looking for.

Asked by: Tuots
This product can be applied over top of sanded OEM paint.

Can I use Eastwood's Gray Epoxy Primer Item #51127 - BOTH under and over the Rage Gold Filler Gallon Item #12712ZP Brand: EverCoat? Same question for the WHITE Epoxy primer? AND... Can I mix the Gray and White Epoxy Primers to get the color I need?

Asked by: chopdLiver
You can certainly use both the gray and white epoxy primer both under and over the rage filler. As for mixing the two colors we have never tested this to see how the colors blend.
