The best spot weld cutter I've used in 16 years!
I never write reviews. But I just had to on this one. I'm a professional body man with about 16 yrs experience- I had to tackle a tough job (remove the rear floor pan of a MK4 VW Golf, and replace with a rear floor pan from an Audi TT). ONE DRILL BIT did BOTH FLOORS, we are talking 400+ spot welds, and I'm sure it can do another two floors if need be. Keys to longevity are cutting lube, slow drill speed, low pressure (i.e. let the bit do the work). I bought two kits thinking I'd burn right through them... but I was amazed at the longevity. A+++. Good job Eastwood!

Just what I needed!
Starting to restore a 72 Mustang Grande. these 3/8 cutters are fast after about 150 spot welds just on the cowl pans, I'm still on the first one.
going to replace floor panels and trunk floor, so "Just what I needed". Glad I saw them on a You Tube video.

Quality makes a huge differance
Started restoring my 67RSSS and I'm replacing almost all of the rear sheet metal. Started using one of the $12 spot weld cutters at a local tool store and broke the plunger on the third spot weld. They exchanged it and it broke on about the 10th spot weld. Bit the Bullet and ordered this kit. I've drilled so many spot welds now and I'm still on the first cutter. Just use cutting oil on each weld and it rips into the sheet metal. The plunger is thicker and more pointed than the cheap one so it doesn't walk around, which breaks the plunger. Always use a center punch, no need to dimple it first with a drill bit.
Highly Recommend this for any restorer!

I like the product
This is my first time to drill out spot welds, so I was on a learning curve at first. I used cutting oil to lubricate the cuts, per a suggestion I read online. The cutter worked great--28 spot welds later it still cuts very well. Highly recommend this.

Is it possible to sharpen these to extend their useful life? Like you could a chainsaw chain? Thanks!
It would be extremely difficult to resharpen these tips.
