One pack of 100 Hog Rings is sufficient to attach the seat covers in most cars. For safety as well as ease of installation we recommend Hog Rings be installed with either our Bent Hog Ring Pliers (52019) for awkward angles or our Straight Hog Ring Pliers (52032) sold separately.

Great Product, best price I found.I used then when replacing a heating element for the heated seats on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The replacement element didn't come with any hog rings. These are the exact same size as the ones used from the factory, and they are very easy to use, don't skimp on the hog ring pliers though, that's what makes the job easy.
You mention that your hog rings are 1/2 inch but do not mention in what direction - across the jaws, total width or closed width.

The Eastwood Hog Rings (Item #52033) are specified as ½ inch in size. This measurement refers to the open width of the ring before it is crimped, which is the standard method for sizing hog rings.
