Can I clean and paint a rusted Y-pipe now and it cure 6 months to 1 year from now when the project car is running or should I wait until the project is ready to run so I can heat it up with the engine to cure?

Asked by: Thomas
It is always best if you can wait before coating your exhaust, till your ready to install. Just be sure to remove all the rust on your pipes, and wipe them down with Acetone prior to applying this product.

I'm looking to spray my bike exhaust due to laying bike down and getting surface scrapping in them. I was wondering, what's the approximate life expectancy for this paint? Is this something I will have to redo every few months due to rain, washing, riding

Asked by: Steven
There will be too many variables to give an estimate to know exactly how long this product will last.

I am trying to preclude the yellowing/bluing due to heat that is common with chrome exhaust systems. Can this product be sprayed on the INSIDE of the chrome side pipes (Shelby Cobra) to stop/slow the above problem? Thanks!

Asked by: CB427
This product isn't designed to be used internally. Our Internal Exhaust coating is what you will want to use.

Would this work well for a stainless steel, turbo exhaust manifold?

Asked by: Karemiah1
This product would work fine as long as you thoroughly scuff the metal to get mechanical bond and you also observe the maximum temperature this product is rated too.
