Eastwood Internal Frame Coating Green 14oz Aerosol is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 156.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked better than expected After reading all about how messy this is and not to wear anything you ever would use again, I took precaution and cover the garge floor with a cheap plastic painters drop cloth, taped over all holes in the frame and put on some nitrile gloves I had laying around. I had blown out and flushed the frame with compressed air and then water and left to dry a couple days prior and proceeded to use about 3 & 1/2 cans getting a heavy coat inside frame and all under body sheet metal cavities of my Jeep Wrangler. I couldn't be happier with the result after drying I looked inside frame with my digital inspection camera and observed full coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product! I used three cans of this product to coat the inside frame of my Jeep Wrangler. (You should tape all holes that you are not using because it will spray out of them and make a mess.) I suggest removing the tape as soon as you finish spraying. The frame took three cans of paint and effectively sealed the entire frame with the body off. I thought the product was great. I wish I had purchased two more cans and added some more. The tube stayed on the brass fitting well and it did clog up at the very end of the can. It is a very effective system. And it seemed to be a well thought out system for this particular problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, it's what I've been looking for. I ordered a couple of cans to do some work on my '72 VW sedan. I read other reviews that had problems with the nozzle assemblly coming off. . . this problem has obviously been taken care of. The new nozzle comes attached to it's own spray button, instead of being pushed into the existing spray button, like WD-40. I used one can to spray inside of my bugs heater channels and napoleon hat. Second can will be used for some other nooks and crannies. It has a consistancy a little stiffer than water, but coats everything very well. I have been looking high and low for a system to get this job done and this product fits the bill perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chevy stepside sealing areas from rusting This is a great product I have used many cans on all panels where it is impossible to get to like cab corners, rockers, frame, doors seams and in between fender walls. Some tips are - remove the tube and nozzle after spraying and soak in a container of lacquer thinner I'm still using the first tube, another is insert a long piece of MIG wire inside the tube and you will be able to direct the tube easier, the can end is easy to remove. One last thing mark the tube as to eliminate spraying allover as you remove the tube! Great product atomizes the spray soaks in like water drys quickly, but only time will yield the results!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved it, well thought out I just used 2 cans on my '99 Pathfinders uni-body frame. seems to really work well at coating and creeping into the frame. I am hoping it helps stave off the dreaded frame rot, time will tell. The new nozzle with the built on hose really worked awesome for me. I think I will order maybe one or two more cans, just to be sure I have it all SUPER coated as I do already have some surface rust starting. better safe than sorry, and a few cans sure beats uni-body repair later down the road! I think this is WELL worth trying,I have always had great luck with other products from eastwood and have no reason to think this wont work great. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product That Covers Very Well!!! I had always wanted to use this product on my older Celica daily driver, since rust-through always seems to be an issue with Toyotas. I bought two cans of it & was able to get all main areas I wanted to coat (rockers & rear rails). I knew the product was doing its job once it began seeping out of all the access holes. Now that I've been able to see how well it works on my daily driver, I plan on purchasing a plug kit & carefully masking off the frame on my Challenger project & getting everything protected on the inside...Not getting any seepage will be the key, though, since it's already been painted & cleared underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from product fulills three roles I use this product for many other painting and prevention jobs. I have done some long term testing in harsh MN salt environment. Also have done some research on the make-up of the product. It seems to take the place of three other items that I was using. In the past I would typically use a rust converter on light rust and then a zinc based paint and then sealer of some sort. This product takes care of all three steps and thus far has held up extremely well. It has very good penetrating properties and the zinc based paint/sealer is very tough. I have several jobs out that have seen some tough duty and this coating is very impressive. Owner of JanFab LLC fabrication shop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good product but applicator doesn't always function well. I like the product, I like the idea of it, but the applicator nozzle needs a lot of work otherwise you waste most of the product and your time. I have a borescope, so after I coated the inside of my challengers frame rails (if you wanna call'em that) I checked how well it coated. on the shorter rails, like the ones under the floorpan, it covers well. However- on the taller rails i.e. the front frame rails in the engine comp. or the ones under the trunk pan, the top third is uncoated. It would help if they designed the nozzel with some vertical holes and shrank their overall size a bit. I used 3 cans trying to get the coverage I needed but no dice. This stuff would be great, if the applicator were redisigned.

I have a 1998 chevy K1500. I am having the frame sand blasted. I want to know what products I would need to stop and seal the rust that is left, and coat and preserve the frame from the salt and chemicals from the winter months?

Asked by: Warner
This internal frame coating would be an excellent option for internal use. As far as external use Rust Encapsulator would be your best option top coated with Chassis Black or Extreme Chassis Black.

Can the regular nozzle from the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator be used on the Internal Frame Coating spray can ?

Asked by: divebelize14me
They should be interchangable. Just keep in mind though that the Internal frame coating is designed for areas you cannot access to clean up and prep for paint.

Is internal frame coating oil, gas, and salt resistant? Do you have to top coat it?

Asked by: 74 Bronco
The internal frame coating is semi oil and gas resistant. This will not require top coating. You could topcoat with our Heavy duty anti rust product to extend the life of the product.

I am restoring a car that leaked a lot of oil over the years. Will that oil residue need to be removed first, or will the internal frame coating work its way through.

Asked by: oldhippy
The oil residue will absolutely have to be removed. Other wise this product will not have the ability to adhere to the surface.
