Just what I needed.
I bought this to replace an older cheaper unit to roll cones for two stroke exhaust systems. The build quality of this unit far above the old one making the task much easier.

Well built unit
this unit is a great addition to my shop for small parts. I have one of the large combination machines and this unit is a great addition to my shop. Getting parts I and out is about the same as the large unit.

Questions & Answers
Where is this tool made?
Not in USA
Date published: 2023-09-14
I can read, it says 18 gage max. What I need to do is flatten out 6 to 8 in wide bandsaw blade thats been rolled up. Not a lot of arch but needs to be flat to feed shear. Hardened steel 16 gage would English wheel be better than slip roll?
That is an odd use case. Since its so wide the slip roll makes sense, but finding one that's heavy duty and small is not easy. With an english wheel, planishing hammer, or power hammer you would have more concentrated force but it would take longer and be more challenging to be consistent. If you could jig something to pull a ton tension and stretch the blade out that should flatten it as well.

I know this unit is advertised as 18g steel, typically similar units will have 2 ratings for steel and aluminum. I am needing to know what is the max gauge for aluminum.
This tool is rated for 18 gauge mild steel or aluminum and 20 gauge stainless steel

Will this roller work for 6063 aluminum channel, 1/2x1/2x.062 . I want to roll 6" to 36" diameters.
This Slip Roller is designed to bend flat sheet metal and wire. It will roller up to 12" wide and 18 gauge thick metal. There is no provision for rolling 1/2" X1/2" aluminum channel on this roller..

Will the Eastwood 12” slip role work to role 1/8” x 3” mild steel?
No. The Eastwood 12" Slip Roller is only rated to roll 0.050 or 18 gauge mild steel. Attempting to roll 1/8" mild steel will damage the unit.
