Product Overview:

Description

Eastwood Pin Alignment System Features:

  • Magnetic pin alignment system
  • Ensures perfect alignment every time
  • Works on doors, hoods and deck lids
  • Eliminates paint chips when reassembling
  • 1-Year warranty

A set of magnetic body panel alignment pins is a simple but very effective way to properly align hoods, doors and trunk lids on your vehicle. Even being the slightest bit off when reassembling these parts can cause irregular caps, fender overlaps, paint chips and other problems. Before removing the part for repair and paint, use the included bits to drill two small alignment holes in each hinge so you know where things are supposed to be when set. Then when it’s time to reinstall, insert the magnetic pins first thing. You’ll know everything is properly aligned before tightening the fasteners. Watch the demonstration video above or read our article to see the complete process.

This simple door pin alignment system saves you from having to constantly adjust the hardware — not to mention valuable time and money from paint reworking and body repair. It works with literally any vehicle and won’t even be noticeable to the average viewer. Call us seven days a week at 1-800-343-9353 for free assistance from a DIY automotive expert.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The demonstration is faulted, Idea is great. The demonstration video is faulted, but none the less it give the basic idea. At time at 2:07 they random drill. At 2:27 they reveal that they missed the mark as it is in a void on the hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stupid easy to re-set hinges. Building a Factory 5 Hot Rod and hinge alignment has been a real pain. These things really work well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay Pins are strong magnets. Drill bits broke right away. I ended up not even using them though because the pins fit too loose to really provide a decent alignment. The drill bit size is too large.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Door alignment Pins are good, but come on Eastwood either send some good drill bits or don't send any, they are junk.

How many do you need to complete a two door vechicle?

Asked by: Grhardee
ONE pack. Do one door, pull pins, go do other door....common sense is dead

Why give up almost 1/32?  I would think the pins should be right at 1/8th (.125)?

Asked by: JarJar Binks
To allow for the paint thickness.  You would normally do this in primer, before paint.  The difference btw the bit and the pin allows for paint film build.  If the pins were the same as he bit, the pins would chip the paint in/around the holes.upon insertion after painting.
