Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy process! This was my first attempt at powder coating and these powders worked great. They came out very bright and glossy with perfect color. The process was very easy with the proper prep.

Will these powders withstand the heat of engine parts such as valve covers, timing chain covers, etc?

Asked by: Kraken ink
Our Powders are good up to 250F. For the most part most of these parts in question probably do not see 250F.

Want to powder coat antique kerosene lanterns.  Will the powder coat stick to the soldering joints?

Asked by: Nlapana
While powder should stick to solder the fear would be during the curing process. Powder coated parts need to reach 400F. Depending on the solder this temp would weaken it.

What temp and how long in the oven?

Asked by: Jeff C
These powders require the part to reach 400F for 20 minutes.

I wanted to powdercoat the 72 inch mower deck on my J D tractor since I don't have an over that large I can't do that correct? if it doesn't fit in that oven I can't do it???? thanks. Steve Oh Also do you have to use a special paint to do brake calipers?

Asked by: wizard
You can powder coat items larger than an oven if you use infrared lamps to cure a section at a time. WE do also have brake caliper paint which can be found here:

I just bought the sample pack for $50. I was wondering how high the temp would go? I was going to powder coat valve cover and caliper brakes on my car. Would like to know if it would support those temps.

Asked by: John buck
Our powder is temp rated up to 250F.

You'll need a powder coating gun, your powder in the color you choose, and an oven large enough to house the part to cure it. Another method would be to use curing lamps without an oven.
