FIRST AUTOMOBILE COMPLETE PAIN JOB!My first automobile paint job. I love the intermix products from Eastwood. Everything I needed in products. Caller Eastwood Tech support about 5 times. They kept me from making huge mistakes by offering excellent help all along the way. The Eastwood Epoxy primer did an excellent job with about 2 coats.
My 02 Chevy truck needed sanding down to bare metal on almost 1/2 the truck. The Epoxy sealer did the job and in a few hours I was applying their Ruby Red Metallic. Applied 3 coats, some places 4 to cover my white epoxy primer. Highly recommend Eastwood Epoxy Clear. It covered soo good , couldn’t believe it.
No need to prime with a high build primer. Didn’t need to apply a sealer. One good application and ready for base. Thank you Eastwood and Rick or was it Randy. I’m 78 years old and first job like this. I had painted some farm equipment in the past but nothings this that would be going up and down Main Street.
It looks like too achieve the ruby red color it is a mixture of two colors is that correct? Is the mixture a 50/50 mix. Also what clear do you recommend using over top of this? Thank you

This will mix at a 1:1 ratio. Our 2:1 Urethane Clear or 4:1 Premium Show Clear would both be great clear coat options for this paint.

do you need a clear coat or is the single-stage enough?
Asked by: McKinley W
While this is a single-stage and does not need a clear. Especially with metallics, adding a clear coat enhances the durability and buffability of this product.

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler which is currently painted black. What steps/primers do I need to due before I can spray with this Ruby Red color?
Asked by: EOD21
For easiest coverage it would be recommended to abrade and apply a sealing coat of our Gray Epoxy primer over everything then proceed with applying this Intermix paint and finally a clear coat.
